Welcome to Osteria Dante
Established in 2008, Osteria Dante is a contemporary Italian restaurant and pizzeria situated in Potters Bar. Owned and managed by Vincenzo Abbondante – the intention for the restaurant was clear from the beginning; to ensure customers get delicious, freshly prepared and authentic Italian cuisine at reasonable, value for money prices.
The menu features both traditional and contemporary Italian dishes, from pasta to stone-baked pizza, varied antipasti to delicious fresh fish, succulent grilled meat and homemade deserts, there is something to appeal to everyone. Many of the dishes are recipes which have been handed down through the family, and the details are often closely guarded secrets!
Most fresh produce is sourced locally, and Vincenzo and his chef regularly visit Smithfield and Billingsgate markets to ensure that only the best quality meat and fish is used. What is found there and what is in season often determines what makes it on to the Specials Board, which changes frequently.
The wines have been carefully selected and Vincenzo is always delighted to assist in choosing the best wine to accompany your meal. In addition, what better way to finish off your meal than with a rich Italian coffee and a small glass of Limoncello?
By day the décor is fresh and inviting, perfect for either a relaxing lunch with friends or even somewhere to talk business with associates. There is a lunch menu available with lighter options and for those working to tight timescales a Speed-Service is available on request. Come the evening the lights are dimmed and Osteria Dante becomes the perfect place for a romantic meal or to enjoy the company of friends, with fine wines and impeccable service on offer.
Special occasions are catered for, and whether it is a birthday, anniversary or other celebration, Vincenzo and the staff will always make sure it is memorable.
